Mickey Dunne is not only one of the most accomplished players of the uilleann pipes in Ireland, but he is also one of the very few people that have mastered the art of making this tricky instrument! Mickey learned to play music from his father, and draws his knowledge from the tradition of the Travelling musicians of the Dunne family. He is the founder and president of the pipers club Limerick and can be heard on his CDs Legacy (2004), A True Born Irishman (1998) and The Limerick Lasses (1994). Ten years of teaching experience at the Willie Clancy Summer School in Milltown Malbay (Clare) and at countless tionols and pipers festivals across the globe turned Mickey into one of the most welcomed and loved travelling uilleann pipes tutors.
